Delivery & Drop Shipment Policy
How DTI Tech arranges delivery, direct shipment, estimated lead times and delivery issue reporting for business orders.
1. Our fulfilment model
DTI Tech operates as a channel reseller and procurement partner. We do not normally hold stock, operate a warehouse, or physically handle hardware.
Products are usually shipped directly from authorised distributors, vendors, logistics partners or other approved supply-chain partners to the Customer's nominated delivery address.
This means the packaging, delivery label, courier, dispatch location, tracking updates and proof of delivery may be managed by a third party rather than by DTI Tech directly.
2. Direct shipment to your site or end user
Where agreed, products may be shipped directly to:
- your office
- your branch location
- your data centre
- your remote worker
- your customer site
- another delivery address nominated by you
Delivery to any nominated address shall be treated as delivery to you.
You are responsible for ensuring that the delivery address, contact details, booking-in requirements, access instructions and recipient details are accurate.
3. Delivery estimates
Delivery dates and times are estimates only unless we expressly agree in writing that a specific delivery date is guaranteed.
Delivery estimates may depend on distributor stock, vendor supply, courier availability, warehouse cut-off times, credit approval, order checks and any applicable compliance checks.
We are not liable for delays caused by distributors, vendors, manufacturers, couriers, customs, stock shortages, failed delivery attempts, incorrect delivery details, site access restrictions or events outside our reasonable control.
4. Stock availability
Stock shown on the website, portal, quotation or proposal may be based on distributor, vendor, EDI, API or other third-party data.
Stock is not guaranteed until the order has been accepted and confirmed by the relevant supply-chain partner.
We may contact you if stock becomes unavailable, delayed, constrained, discontinued or replaced by an alternative product.
5. Failed or refused delivery
You may be charged additional fees where a delivery fails because:
- the address was incorrect or incomplete
- no authorised person was available to accept delivery
- the recipient refused delivery
- the site had access restrictions not disclosed to us
- booking-in requirements were not provided
- the goods were redirected, returned or re-delivered
Supply-chain partner terms may require additional terms, prepayment or additional fees for direct shipment orders or special order products.
6. Inspection on arrival
You must inspect deliveries as soon as reasonably possible after receipt.
Any shortage, incorrect item, visible damage, missing package or delivery discrepancy must be reported to us in writing within two working days of delivery, or sooner where a distributor, vendor or courier process requires it.
You should retain:
- all packaging
- all courier labels
- all delivery notes
- photographs of any damage
- serial numbers
- proof of delivery details
Failure to report issues promptly may affect our ability to raise a successful claim with the distributor, courier or vendor.
7. Hardware not inspected by DTI Tech
Because hardware is normally shipped directly from the supply chain, DTI Tech does not physically inspect, test, repackage or verify products before delivery unless we have expressly agreed to provide staging, configuration or installation services.
Where a product is incorrect, damaged, dead-on-arrival or faulty, the applicable distributor, vendor or manufacturer returns process will apply.
